Tuesday, Day 122 -  May 8 - Cruising the North Atlantic Ocean

The seas are really rough. At times last night it felt like we were going to be pitched out of bedl It doesn’t look too promising this morning either. There is still a heavy chop that makes it hard to walk.

We go to breakfast at the usual time and continue on with the normal morning routine. The lectures and Sarah’s card class. Dick skips Terry’s lecture since it is a repeat of one of the very first ones on Cricket, but he does go to Rob Warne’s talk “Cuba - The End of Castro Rule”.

The Captain gives his daily noon report . We have moderate waves, 8 ½ feet, winds at 28 knots, 71% humidity and temperature of 86 degrees. We are located at 8 degrees N and 57 degrees W. Dick skips lunch but Carolyn goes and gets a quiche. The boat is continuing with the uncomfortable hard on the knees rocking so we both decide a nap is the best way7 to deal with it. It is a good enough excuse anyway!
At 6:30 we go to the Navigator Lounge and listen to Clive until 7. Daniela has asked us to join her for dinner. When we get to the dinning room we find we will be sitting at our favorite table with her and Vishnu with a little assist from his brother, Shambu, will serve us tonight. We have a wonderful meal and lots of great conversation. She is from Mexico so there is common ground from home to talk about along with her interesting life on board. We linger over dinner and finally head to bed around 9. Glad we have a port tomorrow as we are tired of the rocking ship.
