Saturday, Day 119 -  May 5 - Cruising Brazilian Coast

It is a some what stormy today, very cloudy and humidity at 92% with very choppy seas. Dick goes to breakfast, but Carolyn stays in bed. She is not really hungry and would rather have a an extra hour of sleep.

Dick stays gone through the first lecture at 10 with Terry on Brazil and Slavery - The First and the Last?. He gets back to the room at 10:50 and Carolyn is still in bed.
Opps. She is about to miss Quilling so she quickly gets up and dresses. A little late, but in time to finish up yesterdays project and get started on today’s project. She takes some left over glue and all the materials back to the suite and gets today's card finished by dinner time.

We go to lunch and Dick plays on the computer while Carolyn reads and works on her card. We are really lazy these days.

We cross the Equator for the forth and final time on this journey about 1:30 this afternoon. Jack misses seeing the yellow line again!
He knows there is one because he saw it,sat on it and had his picture madesitting on it in Equador in 2011. Jamie had planned to have the crossing ceremony and a cocktail party up on the pool deck at 5:15, but it is miserable out side...steamy, rainy and rough seas so he reschedules it in the Theater. We go and as usual it is really cute. Terry, Clive and Jamie play Neptune, “North Wader” and the Judge. Each crossing ceremony has been different. This cruise we have the most Pollywogs, about 75! They are lined up in front of the stage and have to parade across stopping to kiss the fish!
We are not terribly hungry so we go up to Galileo Lounge and have a snack and a drink. Our Australian friends come in and join us. We talk about the Grand Suite they scored in the auction yesterday. The crew got them moved in 40 minutes this morning! The suite sounds really nice and works out at about $500 per day extra (over what they paid per day for their original suite) for the 21 days. Not bad compared to the booking rate. The auction made $28,000 for the crew fund.

They are skipping dinner, but we decide to go to the Compass Rose about 8 for a light meal. Carolyn has her special salad and a baked potato with all the trimming. Dick has soup and a Thai dish. Then is off bed after we buckle the boys in. We are really rocking and rolling. Things are not looking good for Devils Island!
