Sunday, Day 71 -  Mar 18 - Cruising the Andaman Sea

It is hard to believe that we crossed over into the 2nd half of our voyage around the world yesterday. Today is day 71 of 139 days. As of yesterday we have done 19,195 miles of the 37,995 mile voyage.
It is so humid today that there is a haze over the water when we wake. It is another sea day on the Navigator and since it is Sunday there is caviar and mimosas for breakfast, but we pass.

At 10AM Terry does a lecture on “The Road to Mandalay - The British in Burma and Beyond.” Then at 11AM Michael Scott does a lecture on “Indian Ocean - Wildlife to Look Out For.” Dick goes to the first but skips the second. Carolyn has her Quilling class with Sarah at 11AM.
Carolyn works on the blog and goes to Julie’s class in the afternoon where the card of the day is a layered tiger. It turns out really nice.

There is a pre-dinner show at 5:30PM by the musical team of Adam and Tabitha, “Its 5 O’clock Somewhere.” The plan was to attend, but then we both get caught up in trying to get the blog posts up to date and let the time slip by.

We go to dinner at our usual early time in the Compass Rose. We really like one waiter and a particular table. But his section is very popular so all his tables fill up before 7PM. If we don’t go early, we wind up in another section.

The room is back to being cool in the evenings and they are managing to keep the whole ship cooler also. Several people were complaining about how warm the ship was these last few days.
Showtime is an Australian Comedian, but the idea of jammies and reading in bed is a lot more appealing!
