Saturday, Day 70 -  Mar 17 - Cruising the Andaman Sea

Glory be, finally a sea day. It is a busy one though! Fortunately we moved the clock back last night so we got an extra hours sleep and are up in time for our usual breakfast time.

It is St. Patrick’s Day so the ship is all decked out in green and white balloons. There is a new lecturer, Michael Scott, speaking on "What Lies Ahead - Exploring the Indian Ocean” at 10AM. At the same time there is the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle. Dick goes to the lecture and Carolyn goes to the cruise critic meeting. We have the largest group so far, about 20. This is good as most of the staff show up including the Captain and Davor, the General Manager. We have a good laugh about the new style tenders and encourage the Captain to use the local fast tenders more often. He is in a good mood and is joking about all the “interesting adventures” we have had so far.
At 11AM we have the Captains Welcome Party. Carolyn goes to that with another Cruise Critic friend and Dick goes back to the room. He spends the afternoon reading and playing his computer game.

Carolyn goes to lunch in Compass Rose. There is an Irish lunch buffet upstairs, but it is crowded and hot up there. She prefers the cool of the dining room, plus they have fish and chips today which is very good!

Julie is doing her card class at 2:30PM, but she is sick so Terry conducts the class. He is an absolute hoot! Of course, there are a multitude of other activities going on, bridge, board games, outside games for those willing to brave the heat and humidity and Tea Time if you are still hungry!

At 5:30PM Terry does a pre-dinner show, “A Load of Old Blarney." The theater is packed on both levels and the show is great! We love the pre-dinner shows! There is another show at 9:30PM, “A Night of Irish Music" with the “Its 5 O’clock Somewhere” group. But we are more interested in sleep!

We adjourn to Prime 7 for dinner, one of the extra reservations Carolyn was able to get at the end of the last segment. We always enjoy our meals there.

Daniella calls us to be sure the A/C is fixed. We tell her NO that it is still 75 in the room and we are NOT happy campers. She says she will find out what is going on. During the night the temperature starts falling and by 4AM it is 70 degrees in our room. Thank goodness! We finally fall sound asleep.
