Wednesday, Day 39 - Feb 14 - Cruising the Tasman Sea

Much smother ride last night, plus we set the clock back an hour so could sleep late. One of us remembers Valentines Day with a card and candy. One of us is just more organized than the other!!

The Lobby of the ship is all decked out with balloons, but other than that, one wouldn’t know it is a day for Lovers on the Regent Navigator. The Compass Rose is a big disappointment in this respect. The only thing they do at dinner is turn the ceiling accent lights from blue to red, nothing on the tables and no special menu. They do pass out red roses to the ladies but then there is no vase on the table to put them in so they lay there and wilt for two hours.

There are two lectures today, first on the Great Barrier Reef and then on Pluto. Dick goes to Pluto and then picks up our passports and landing cards. We need to fill the cards out and present them along with our passports at the face to face immigration meeting first thing tomorrow in Sydney. Carolyn naps all morning.

Dick goes out for awhile for a change of scenery and to read. Carolyn orders a lite room service lunch and watches Olympic Ice Skating and, of all things, Curling all afternoon.

We go to dinner at our usual time and have a less than memorable meal for Valentines Day. Carolyn is feeling better and fever free so we are going to try to do the tour in Sydney tomorrow. We are not long for this world.
