Friday,  Day 41 -  Feb 16 - Cruising the Tasman Sea

Another rough ride last night. This morning is windy and the sea is full of white caps. We are up and eating breakfast by 9AM. It is going to be a routine day at sea on the Navigator, including gale force winds, 16 plus foot waves and water breaking across the bow. Our balcony door is regularly obscured by breaking waves! We are fairly close to the coast and can see land much of the day.
Dick goes to the 10AM lecture, “The History of Australia,” presented by a new lecturer, Terry Bishop. He says it was good.

At 11AM Jamie comes on the ships PA system and reads the muster drill rules to us....this cruise is longer than 15 days so a refresher course is recommended. At least we don’t have to meet in the lounge with life jackets.

Carolyn goes to her paper curling class (actually Quiling). There are several of us on for the full deal and we have a lot of fun. Several of us are trying very hard to get caught up.

They have Bingo at noon, will have to try our hand at that soon.  Later this afternoon, Dana, the Assistant CD is continuing her writer’s workshop. We probably should go and see if she can give us some pointers on how to write a better blog. This one gets sort of “old’ at times. For the gamblers there is a Slots Tournament and then a Texas Hold ’Em Tournament. Plus there is bridge all afternoon and board and deck games and needlepoint and don’t forget afternoon tea...it is crepes today...Yummmm.

Carolyn is still lacking in energy so after lunch she takes a nap until dinner time. Dick reads and plays some computer games.

We go to our usual early dinner time. Dick has the miso bass which he says is again wonderful! Carolyn has a small steak which is cooked to perfection, but she is still having a hard time eating very much.

We have a really long tour tomorrow to the Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road so we go to bed with the ship still rolling around.
